CBS has found their Watson... in the shape of Lucy Liu.

Disney has tapped Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright to helm their remake of the seminal 70s science-fantasy-horror show, Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
According to Deadline, Disney is has approached the Scott Pilgrim Vs The World director with a view to developing a modern take on the classic show as a vehicle for co-producer and Pirates of the Caribbean star, Johnny Depp.

Just when you thought Hasbro had squeezed every possible penny out of the Star Wars toy lines, they go ahead and invent not one but two new toy concepts!
The Star Wars Fighter Pods are Hasbro's attempt to cash-in on the blind-bagged, squishy mini-figure style of toys (Squinkies, I'm looking at you...) but with the addition of larger ships and vehicles. Which is kind of cool.

It seems as if you and I aren't the only ones who enjoy our toys, as the Travel Channel has announced that last month's one-off reality show Toy Hunters is to return to our screens as an ongoing series.
As reported at Your Bent My Wookie, a series of 30 minutes episodes of the show has been commissioned. Here's an edited version of the press release:

Hasbro has already announced they're expanding the Kre-O line beyond the Transformers range. But I doubt anybody expected the announcement that next year would see the launch of a line of Star Trek figures and play sets.
